Mobilize: The Documentary

A compelling documentary that chronicles the inspiring story of a group of volunteers who, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, launched a grassroots communications effort to address critical information gaps. This documentary is accessible online to audiences worldwide, providing an intimate look at the dedication, challenges, and triumphs of the volunteers whose efforts have significantly impacted communities across South Africa.

Mobilize is a social enterprise – a non-profit communications agency that mobilises communities for change through campaigns.

Our team consists of 15 content creators, social media managers and app developers, plus a research team of more than 100 community-based facilitators who are constantly assessing community knowledge and sentiment and who help to distribute our information products.
